I hope this message finds you well.
On behalf of the Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society (APWSS), it is my
great pleasure to officially announce the
30th Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society Conference (APWSS 2027)
,
which will be held from 23–27 August 2027 at the Muong Thanh Luxury Hotel,
Da Nang City, Vietnam. The conference will be hosted by the Vietnam Weed
Science Society in collaboration with APWSS.
APWSS 2027 will be especially meaningful as it also marks the
60th Anniversary of the Society,
celebrating six decades of scientific collaboration, friendship, and
outstanding contributions to weed science throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Conference Theme
“Weed Research and Management under Global Climate Change”
The theme reflects our shared commitment to advancing innovative,
sustainable, and science-based solutions to the emerging challenges
facing agriculture under changing climatic conditions.
The official First Circular is attached and includes preliminary
information on the conference programme, important dates, venue, and
planned activities. We kindly invite you to share this announcement
widely within your national weed science societies, institutions, and
professional networks, and to encourage researchers, students,
extension specialists, and industry partners to participate in this
important event.
The APWSS 60th Anniversary Celebration will be one of the highlights of
the conference, providing an opportunity to reflect on the Society’s
remarkable achievements, recognize the invaluable contributions of our
members and leaders, and strengthen collaboration for the future
development of weed science in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Organizing Committee is working diligently to prepare an excellent
scientific and social programme. We sincerely hope to welcome all of you
to Da Nang, Vietnam, for this memorable milestone in the history of APWSS.
Your continued support, participation, and cooperation will be greatly
appreciated and will contribute significantly to the success of APWSS
2027 and the celebration of our Society’s 60th Anniversary.
